Participants will:

• Receive comprehensive handouts to include: information on relevant legislation and legal responsibilities; theory on maintaining musculo-skeletal health, postures that may make you vulnerable; principles of safer handling: information on basic box lifts and how to adapt techniques to meet staff's needs and that of the organisation; considerations to be made before moving or lifting anything.
• Practise techniques in a supportive and positive atmosphere.
• Receive certificates of attendance and detailed records of the content of their training.
